De La Warr Pavilion is thrilled to be partnering with artists ZEROH to present MASS, an exciting new event in celebration of sculpture and 3-D art inspired by Tschabalala Self’s Seated. MASS features a wide range of local and regional 3-D artists showing and selling their work. The event includes food, drink and music and takes place in the Auditorium and outside on the Terrace.

Common Clay host a relaxed, free community clay workshop led by one of their current residency artists, Nick Kidd. Drop in anytime between 11am and 1pm and make something that celebrates who or what makes Bexhill special to you. Dedicate your artwork to your best mate, your neighbour, your favourite local chippy, or even a beloved seagull!

Teenagers in Bexhill-on-Sea are using clay to express themselves, learn new skills, gain a sense of independence, and create things that last... and they encourage others to do the same!
Fired Up! is a publication which documents the work of Head of Art Chris Mayne’s Year 10 Ceramics GCSE class at Bexhill Academy. Flatland Projects visited them at school in 2026, along with photographer Jorge Antony Stride, to capture their thoughts on working with clay and photograph their ceramics. Thanks to Jorge, Common Clay and Bexhill Academy for their support and contributions to this new publication.

Dr. Julia Winckler : Sites of Belonging and Connection - Activating Community Archives

Dr. Julia Winkler shares her experiences of working with family and community archives to explore individual, familial, collective and cultural heritage. Through her personal and collaborative creative practice Julia recreates, reactivates and/or re-imagines archival materials such as photographs, objects and stories, enabling new connections. Part of an initiative by Young Creatives Collective, Peter Marlow Foundation and The Refugee Buddy Project to create a community archiving lab for Bexhill.
